What is Tekbond®?

Tekbond® TPEs are a series of proprietary elastomer compounds that enable over-molding to engineering resins, add tactile and visual enhancement, add soft touch, provide a functional seal and offer unique cosmetics to your product.

What Are The Material Characteristics Of Tekbond®?

  • Over-mold to engineering resins
  • Tactile feel and soft touch parts
  • Provide a functional seal to your product
  • Available as translucent or naturally light color
  • Easily pigmented to desired color
  • Achieve shiny, dull, texture, leather, frosty, pearlescent, sparkling or glowing surfaces
  • Pad printing accomplished with special inks
  • Resistant to environmental exposure such as elevated temperatures, and water

What Grades Of Tekbond® Are Available?

Tekbond® TPEs are available in a hardness range of 35 Shore A to 65 Shore A. However, customized Tekbond grades can be formulated to meet your specific application needs. All Tekbond® grades are available in natural (colorable) and black. Tekbond® can also be provided in custom colors, matched to meet a specific need.

6000-Series: General-Purpose Grade
Available Durometers: 35A, 45A, 55A, 65A, 75A. All grades are available in natural, black and custom colors.

MP-1700-Series: Custom Grade
Available Durometers: 35A, 45A, 55A, 60A, 65A. All grades are available in natural, black and custom colors.

6700-Series: Nylon Bondable Grade
Available Durometers: 45A, 55A, 65A. Designed for specific applications requiring bondability to nylon substrates. All grades are available in natural, black and custom colors.
