Two Tone Effect

Teknor Color’s two-tone effect can be used to achieve elegant and sophisticated color combinations in PET bottles that catch the eye of the consumer. The technology is a sequential co-injection process that, in separate steps, injects PET from differently colored melt streams into the mold cavity, yielding a perform with two regions. Subsequent blow molding produces bottles of a distinctly two-tone appearance with a minimal transitional area, typically located where a label might be applied.
