Blowing Agents

Several difference chemical foaming agents, also known as blowing agents, are available from Teknor Color Company. These are in powder form, which permits their addition to the rotomolding powdered resin by dry blending.

Decomposition of these chemical compositions during the molding cycle produces an inert gas which forms the foam cellular structure. Blowing agent formulas are varied to provide specific properties and for their use in resins having different densities or processing temperatures.
