BRANDON, FLORIDA, U.S.A., November 5, 2003: Yes, your mother or even your grandmother used White Rain (R) shampoo, but you would never know it from the look of White Rain packaging now arriving on retail shelves.

Diamond Products Company, the private label manufacturing company that purchased the 52-year-old White Rain brand two years ago, has created a lustrous contemporary look for its packaging, with new shapes, new graphics, and new colors. For the shampoos and conditioners that have long been the mainstays of the White Rain product line, Diamond Products worked with Teknor Color Company to arrive at a pearlescent yellow that is bright and distinctive yet yields a smooth, soft appearance.

“Our goal was to build on the outstanding name recognition and brand awareness of White Rain products while creating packaging that attracts today’s hair-care consumers,” said David Alexander, Diamond Products’ executive vice president in charge of manufacturing and operations. “The yellow concentrate custom-formulated for us by Teknor Color Company makes the new White Rain Base Brand shampoo and conditioner bottles stand out on retail shelves while satisfying consumer preferences for intriguing new colors with a touch of luxury.”

The yellow concentrate developed by Teknor Color Company is used for the entire Base Brand range of White Rain shampoos and conditioners, which includes 13 products sold in standard 15-oz. bottles and 19.95- and 25.4-oz. “Bonus Base Brand” bottles. The color distinguishes these core products in the White Rain line, which includes other hair-care formulations, some of them newly developed by Diamond Products as part of its expansion and modernization of the White Rain brand.
