TEKNOR APEX UK NAMES IMCD GROUP AS DISTRIBUTOR OF ITS ENGINEERING THERMOPLASTIC COMPOUNDS ACROSS EUROPE

OLDBURY, WEST MIDLANDS, UK, April 15, 2008: Teknor Apex UK (formerly Chem Polymer UK Ltd.) has appointed IMCD Group B.V. to distribute its full range of engineering thermoplastic (ETP) compounds throughout the countries of Western, Eastern, and Southern Europe, it was announced today by Teknor Apex European managing director Simon Hubbard. Teknor Apex has manufacturing capabilities in the UK, Asia, and the United States.

The agreement with IMCD Group calls for IMCD to represent the ETP range of Teknor Apex UK, including reinforced, filled, and specially modified compounds of nylon 6 and 66 (Beetle® and Chemlon®), PET, PBT, and acetal copolymer.

“The strategy of the ETP division since its acquisition by Teknor Apex just over three years ago has been to expand its supply and customer-support capabilities worldwide, including the creation of a comprehensive network for sales and technical service throughout Europe,” said Hubbard. “IMCD Group brings to this new relationship with Teknor Apex UK a wealth of marketing and technical resources and pan-European logistical capabilities, ensuring that our customers throughout the region receive attentive and professional support.
