ATLANTA, May 13, 2001: A new publication explains how Teknor Color Company draws on more than 50 years of experience in the wire and cable industry to meet coloring challenges arising from the latest advances in cable manufacture and from regulations with increasingly stringent requirements, the company announced today at Interwire.
The colorful six-page brochure reports on these aspects of Teknor Color's program:
Stock and custom color concentrates for use with PVC, polyolefin, nylon, and most other thermoplastics in any application and to any industry standard (Munsell, SAE, etc.)
Specialty concentrates ranging from heavy metal-free formulations to products for coloring highly filled PVC- and polyolefin-based riser and plenum compounds, such as the widely used Fireguard and Fireguard LSZH products from sister company Teknor Apex.
Rapid color-match response from any of seven U.S. plants, each with a staff of color scientists and a fully equipped color lab that is linked to the company's central database.
Extensive technical resources, including analytical lab, pilot plant, and an R&D Department focused on anticipating new regulatory requirements and helping customers run "faster and thinner" while obtaining excellent electrical properties and product appearance.
