Rotational molding places stringent requirements on the type and amount of pigment that can be used if one wants to achieve maximum performance from the molded part. Although these requirements are somewhat reduced when using precolored resin, as opposed to dry blended color, they still represent a major variable in the performance of a rotomolded part. Teknor Color Company tests the stability of all pigments and additives by rotationally molding parts in the laboratory prior to their approval for use in the process. Those pigments found to be satisfactory are the basis for the custom and standard colors offered by Teknor Color.
