Chem Polymer produces a wide range of globally available engineering thermoplastics for use in automotive and transportation applications. Areas of special expertise include glass-reinforced, mineral-filled, impact-modified and flame-retardant grades. All Chem Polymer products are available in a precision color matched format and can be heat- and/or UV-stabilized to meet stringent end-use requirements.
Chemlon® brand nylon 6 and 6.6 can be found in underhood, underchassis, exterior and interior applications. Several Tier 1 suppliers have chosen Chemlon resins for use in OE designs such as engine covers, fan shrouds, spring seats, connectors, substrates and fastening systems. Many compounds are specifically tailored to meet demanding requirements found in harsh underhood and exterior environments.
