Teknor Apex produces a wide range of globally available products for use in electrical and electronic applications. Chemlon® and Beetle® brand flame retardant nylon 6 and 6.6 are available in both reinforced and unreinforced grades. We are a leader in non-halogenated FR systems, delivering a unique balance of properties and flammability performance. All of these products are available in natural, black and custom colors.
Typical applications include electrical switches, housings, connectors, terminal blocks and bobbins.
Many of our products are UL-rated and have been assigned flammability and thermal index ratings. We also have received approval from many European regulatory bodies as well as 960-degree C glow-wire ratings. If you do not see a required rating on a particular product, please contact us.
