CP-10100 Series and CP-11100 Series: TPEs for Consumer Products
The Monprene® CP-10100 Series (low density) and CP-11100 series (high density) consist of standard TPE products developed for injection molding applications. These materials are suitable for skin contact, are resistant to household chemicals and cosmetics, and are available in a wide hardness range of 40 to 90 Shore A. These grades also exhibit broad thermal performance, superior colorability, high flow properties for improved moldability, and excellent adhesion to polyolefins.

CP-16500 Series: TPE for Dog Toys
Monprene® CP-16500 series of thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) are durable and sustainable alternatives to thermoset rubber for dog toys, with a broad range of performance and aesthetic characteristics. This series includes clear, translucent and opaque grades with low, medium and high gloss, and exhibits excellent colorability to meet a variety of dog toy requirements. Specialty grades offer superior puncture and tear resistance. The Monprene CP-16500 series is formulated with only FDA listed ingredients and is not formulated to contain PVC, BPA, latex, phthalates or metals, nor REACH SVHC or Prop 65 listed substances. The materials mold with ease with excellent flow characteristics.

RG-10100 Series: Regulated Products for FDA Food Contact
The Monprene® RG-10100 series was specifically designed for more sensitive applications in regulated markets like packaging, food contact and housewares, toys, and infants’ products. These grades comply with various U.S. FDA and European Union (EU) regulations and directives for food contact and toy safety. The Monprene® RG-10100 series is available from 40 to 80 Shore A and is suitable for injection molding and extrusion. These grades exhibit excellent adhesion to polyolefins and are safe for the microwave and dishwasher.

OM Series: TPEs for Overmolding
Consumers are increasingly looking for improvements in product safety, ergonomics, and aesthetics. OEMs and product designers use Monprene® TPEs to provide that soft, rubbery feel that can protect hard plastic parts or provide a non-slip grip. On a power tool, for example, Monprene® can be overmolded onto the handle to not only enhance the grip, but also to dampen the vibration, improving ergonomics. Monprene® overmolding grades are chemical and oil-resistant, and can be formulated for food contact applications.
Types of overmolding include two-shot sequential overmolding, multi-shot injection molding or insert overmolding. With overmolding, rigid and flexible parts can be combined, consolidating components and eliminating secondary operations. The Monprene® OM series of TPEs exhibits excellent adhesion to a variety of substrates:

RG-14000 Series: TPEs for Drinking (Potable) Water Applications
For flexible components such as gaskets, seals, and membranes, Teknor Apex offers Monprene® thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) for direct and indirect contact with drinking water. The Monprene RG-14000 series was specifically designed to meet Germany’s stringent drinking water requirements, including the KTW guideline and DVGW Technical Standard W270. These materials are made with FDA CFR 21 compliant ingredients for food contact and comply with European directives EU 10/2011.

RX CP-15100 Series: TPEs with 25 to 35% Recycled Content
Monprene® RX CP-15100 series TPEs are styrenic-based compounds containing 25% to 35% recycled content. This is a significant added value that helps major brands achieve their sustainability goals. These materials are formulated with PCR (Post Consumer Recycled) content, contributing toward a circular economy while decreasing reliance on virgin fossil-based resources and energy. The Monprene RX CP-15100 series is available globally but manufactured around the world with locally sourced raw materials procured to exacting specifications - turning local waste into resource. Available from 55 to 80 Shore A, these high flow materials are formulated for injection molding applications or overmolding onto polypropylene.
S3 CP-15170 BLK: Eco-conscious TPE with 35% Sustainable Content
Monprene® S3 CP-15170 BLK is made with 35% sustainable content that includes both post-consumer recycled material and UBQ™ -- a sustainable plastic substitute converted entirely from organic and unrecyclable waste. Biobased and highly recyclable, UBQ™ offers a climate-positive solution towards a circular economy. Available in 70 Shore A and pre-colored black, this TPE performs and processes comparably to prime. This is a high flow grade designed specifically for injection molding or overmolding onto polypropylene, ideal for consumer products applications requiring flexibility or soft-touch components like anti-slip or comfort grip, and improved ergonomics.

Monprene TPEs offer a sustainable and recyclable alternative to rubber for pet products. Grades specifically designed for dog toys are formulated with only FDA-listed ingredients and meet relevant requirements of European Directives for Food Contact, EU 1935/2004 and PIM10/2011. Monprene TPEs are not formulated with PVC, BPA, latex, phthalates or metals, nor are formulated to contain REACH SVHC or Prop 65 listed substances.

Teknor Apex offers an entire portfolio of products designed for use in major appliances, such as refrigerators, dishwashers, clothes washers, and dryers. In hoses, seals, and gaskets, thermoplastic elastomers like Sarlink® TPVs and Monprene® TPEs have steadily displaced thermoset rubber where it's over-engineered and too costly. TPEs allow engineers to create more complex, efficient designs that result in better performance; for example, a gasket can be over-molded on to a rigid part for a water-tight seal. Manufacturers can consolidate parts and reduce manufacturing costs. TPEs are also used in motor mounts and other parts that improve vibration control and reduce noise.
General purpose Sarlink® TPVs exhibit superior elastic properties, and are resistant to detergents and bleach, making them excellent candidates for molded and extruded parts in clothes washers and dryers. In addition, Teknor Apex offers specialty Sarlink TPVs with improved heat and abrasion resistance for dryer drum rollers or stabilized grades to protect dishwasher components from copper degradation.
Monprene® TPEs introduce a new level of style to household appliances, where textures, colors, and gloss levels can be customized to match your brand.
