TruVis® Esters are ideal for base stocks and additives and are available in adipate, trimelliate, and polyol esters. The esters are manufactured in our Brownsville, Tennessee facility and can be used in a wide range of market applications including:  automotive, industrial, metalworking, power generation, construction, and marine.

When it comes to thermal stability, TruVis® Trimellitate Esters offer the added benefit of low volatility and superior resistance to oxidation at higher temperatures when compared to mineral-based and other synthetic alternatives.

Teknor Apex offers specialty thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) for direct and indirect contact with drinking water.The Monprene RG-14000 series was designed to meet Germany’s stringent drinking water requirements, including the KTW guideline and DVGW Technical Standard W270, and can be used in domestic and commercial applications for flexible components such as gaskets, seals, and membranes.

Recyclon polyamides contain up to 100% recycled resin, using post consumer recycled (PCR) or post industrial recycled (PIR) content.  These materials offer a high degree of consistency in performance and processability versus prime PA 66 and PA 6.

A specialty overmolding series of Medalist® medical-grade thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) are now available, offering excellent adhesion to a wide range of engineering thermoplastics, including: PC, ABS, PC/ABS, CoPE, PET, PBT, PMMA, ASA, SAN, POM and PA.  An excellent alternative to silicone, Medalist TPEs are made with FDA food grade compliant ingredients, are biocompatible per ISO 10993-5, and are phthalate, BPA, and latex-free.

Creamid®P is designed to absorb nearly one-third less water at saturation than standard PA 6, resulting in substantial improvements in tensile properties, bridging the performance gap between PA 6 and PA 66.

Teknor Apex entered the dropper bulb industry several decades ago with Monprene® MP-2840E, a specially TPE that could mimic the haptics and elasticity of rubber. Since then, Teknor Apex’s portfolio of medical TPEs expanded under the Medalist® brand, and the MP-2840E evolved into Medalist MD-12344, a cleaner compound with fewer additives for even lower extractables. Apex® Injection Molding Compounds are available with Shore A hardness from 50 to 90. Uses for injection molding grades include luers, canulae, caps, connectors, valves, ear protection, endotracheal airway cuffs, mouthpieces, oxygen masks, safety goggles, resuscitation bags, and bulbs.

Apex® Tubing Compounds are available with Shore A hardness from 50 to 90.  Extrusion grades of the new compounds are suitable for use in respiratory, blood transport and delivery, catheter, enteral feeding, and many other types of tubing applications, as well as for cable jacketing on powered medical devices.

Flexalloy® Tubing & Molding Compounds are available with Shore A hardness from 40 to 80.  They can be custom formulated to meet a variety of color, opacity, and self-frosting needs as specified by the device manufacturer.  All of the compounds can be ETO-, gamma-, and E-beam-sterilized.

New non-DEHP compounds for a broad range of medical PVC applications are available as standard, "off-the-shelf" products.
