Medalist® Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPEs) Replace Latex in Blow Molded Bags - Case Study

Teknor Apex partnered with FGH Systems Inc., a blow molding specialist, to help a global medical OEM who was seeking to replace dipped latex, use a more efficient process and material and reducing costs.  Teknor Apex developed the Medalist MD-12445 TPE  specifically for extrusion blow molding, with high melt strength for good parison formation and consistent flow properties for improved parison stability. At the same time, products made with this compound exhibit the same elasticity as latex and look and feel the same.
