Crealen is an ideal choice for various automotive applications, as a light-weight material with good mechanical properties, dimensional stability, chemical resistance, and the ability to bond to standard thermoplastic elastomers (TPS, TPV, TPO) using 2K or insert molding.
Crealen Glass Filled Halogen Free Flame Retardant Polypropylene
Crealen glass filled flame retardant polypropylene solutions from Teknor Apex utilize halogen free flame retardant technology to deliver UL94V0 performance at 1.5mm. Passing UL5VA at 3.0mm makes these new solutions suitable for electrical enclosures or housings and in addition to excellent flammability ratings, these grades also exhibit exceptional glow wire ignition temperature. Capable of maintaining a superior balance of impact strength and stiffness these grades are fit for demanding structural applications. At the same time, these products do not absorb moisture, making their performance consistent across a variety of challenging environments including exposure to humid conditions. Boasting excellent chemical resistance makes Crealen HFFR polypropylene products an excellent choice for applications with exposure to acids and bases. With a comparative tracking index of 600V (PLC = 0), and a dielectric strength of 26 kV/mm these products exhibit tremendous electrical performance capable of performing in demanding applications such as electric vehicles, power tools and connectors.
