Creamid® polyamides by Teknor Apex offer unmatched customization for your unique needs. Our toolbox of high-performance solutions tackles even the toughest challenges. Design with freedom, achieve superior performance, and experience broader processing possibilities. Explore Creamid® and innovate like never before.
For easy navigation of its comprehensive portfolio, Creamid® materials are grouped by chemistry. The Creamid® A series is based on PA 66 and designed for maximum rigidity and thermal stability. The Creamid® B series, based on PA 6, exhibits improved toughness and flow, for better surface aesthetics. The Creamid® C series consists of blends of PA 66 and PA 6 or co-polyamides, combining the performance advantages of both.
Compared to standard PA 6, Creamid® P absorbs significantly less moisture (nearly one-third less at saturation). This translates to a significant advantage: 15-25% improvement in tensile properties and superior dimensional stability. The result? Less warpage and consistently high-performing parts. Ideal for structural components, Creamid® P is available with up to 60% glass fiber or 40% carbon fiber reinforcement, while maintaining excellent aesthetics.
Creamid® S polyamides achieve very high levels of strength and stiffness, while maintaining an outstanding high-gloss surface finish. The tensile and flexural strengths of these semi-aromatic polyamides are minimally influenced by moisture absorption, making them excellent alternatives to die cast metals in structural and aesthetic components. Creamid S polyamides contain up to 60% glass fiber or up to 40% carbon fiber reinforcement and are designed for injection molded structural parts.
Polypthalamide (PPA) / High Temperature Nylon (HTN): Creamid® 9T
Creamid® 9T polyphthalamide (PPA) is one of the highest performing polyamides. Classified as a high temperature nylon (HTN), Creamid 9T exhibits superior mechanical performance at elevated temperatures and excellent hydrolysis resistance, which is an ideal combination for automotive under-the-hood components as well as electrical-electronic (E&E) applications. Creamid 9T PPA is suitable for injection molding and extrusion and can be customized with reinforcements and flame retardants.
If you’re failing to meet critical performance requirements with your current polyamide solution, consider Creamid® V cross-linkable polyamides. Our unique technology allows manufacturers to meet more demanding mechanical, thermal, and electrical requirements, yet still utilize standard thermoplastic tooling and equipment. Cross-linking offers up to 40% cost savings versus exotic resins like PEEK, PPS and LCP.
