Createc® thermoplastic polyesters are based on polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) and offer excellent mechanical, electrical and thermal performance, as well as chemical resistance. Compared to other engineering thermoplastics such as polyamides, Createc polyesters absorb significantly less moisture. Low moisture uptake results in excellent dimensional stability, making these materials highly suitable for precision molding applications with tight tolerances, particularly for the automotive and E&E industries.
The Createc product portfolio boasts a broad range of PBT solutions, including grades that are unreinforced, glass or mineral reinforced, flame retardant, or impact modified. Createc® PBT Solutions
Compared to other polyesters, Createc PBT compounds process with ease. Due to greater spacing between the aromatic rings, PBT crystallizes more efficiently than PET, leading to faster cycle times and improved processing efficiencies. Highly aesthetic molded parts can be achieved even with a low mold temperature.
Createc® V: Cross-linkable Polyesters
Teknor Apex’s cross-linking technology enhances the performance of standard engineering thermoplastics, allowing manufacturers to meet more demanding requirements. If your current polyester solution is failing to meet critical mechanical, thermal, or electrical performance requirements, forcing you to evaluate expensive ultra-high performance alternatives, consider Createc V cross-linkable polyesters first.
