Teknor has developed a proprietary technology to significantly boost impact strength in filled container drop testing. The TekTuff additive technology was developed for use in polyolefin systems and can be added to a new or existing color.

For better or worse, broad movements to eliminate DEHP and phthalates from medical devices (and other products as well) have gained such momentum that many in the medical industry are anticipating the day when they are no longer able to manufacture products that contain any of these substances. Understanding the nuances and trade-offs of the chemistries and compounds under fire is the best long-term planning.

Vinyl Extrusion Series Medical compounds are available in clear or opaque appearance.  Plasticizer options include ortho-phthalates (DEHP), non-DEHP ortho-phthalates (DINP), and non-ortho-phthalates (DOTP/DEHT, TOTM, Citrate-ATBC, DINCH, DOA/DEHA, DBS and Polymeric).  Compounds for gamma, e-beam and EtO sterilization methods are available.
