Consider Telcar® Thermoplastic Elastomers for their exceptional performance and versatility. Telcar materials maintain flexibility across a broad temperature range, are easily colorable and do not require pre-drying. This translates to efficient production and a material optimized for diverse applications with specific requirements.
When water exposure and high temperature become a concern, the Telcar series has compounds that can keep electrical equipment operating safely.
TL-3050 Series
Telcar® TL-3050 Series: UL Wet Location Approved TPEs
These specialty compounds are UL wet location approved, making them good candidates for submersible pump cables. This low-density series has a UL-94 rating of HB at 1.5 mm and can be processed by extrusion or injection molding.
Telcar® TL-8400 Series: Standard Non-Flame Retardant TPEs
This non-FR Telcar® series carries a UL-94 rating of HB, and per UL-1581, these grades are approved for continuous use up to 105°C. Select grades are also UV-resistant for excellent outdoor weatherability. Although these products can be processed by injection molding and extrusion, they are used primarily in cable insulation and jacketing.
Elexar® offers a variety of benefits for electrical molded products like boots, plugs, and connectors. Elexar® molding grades exhibit high flow for improved moldability, range in hardness from 60 to 90 Shore A, and are available in custom colors. These grades are free of flame retardants and halogen, are RoHS and REACH SVHC compliant, and UL-94 rated for HB at 1.5 mm. Elexar® TPEs have a rubber-like appearance and feel and remain flexible over a wide temperature range.
